I only came for a couple of days to get some sun and sea, and I got that, plus the lovely company of Carlos, David, Steven and all the volunteers (special shout out to Maya, best of wishes for your next travels!!). They all made sure I knew how to get to TwinFin before I arrived and welcomed me very warmly to their lovely house set on a hill overlooking the sea. Also if you love cats, there's a friendly little gang that stay and will cuddle with you, day and night! I'm very impressed by the set up of TwinFin for the price that it is: modest facilities where you can buy and store your own groceries, you can cook your own meals or have the staff cook you something for dinner at an extra and very generous €9. WiFi is provided and the signal is very good; there's a small canopied space provided if you work while on holiday. A TV is also set up in another canopied area to watch movies; there's books to choose from indoors. The dormitory I stayed in and the attached bathroom was spotless and cleaned everyday, I also slept very well on the bunkbeds and was comfortable lying outdoors in the sun or indoors when I needed a break from the sunshine. There's plenty of equipment provided to do yoga or surfing sessions with the staff (which I didn't do this trip but looking forward to do next trip) for an extra and very reasonable cost, transport included for surfing to get to the beaches. My highlight of my holiday was the trip up to El Teide the very first day I arrived; for transport to and from, a quick pit stop at a local cafe, wandering around the mountains, food and wine included, I thought €45 was fantastic! We explored and finished with a beautiful sunset and meal sat altogether as a group (wine also provided, big win for me!). What a view, oh my word!! Thank you Carlos, David, Steven, Maya and everyone else there who made my short trip a very memorable and wonderful one. I'm looking forward to coming back later on this year. The time i spent at Twin fin Surfcamp was one of the best times in my life. Watching the sunset every day with this beautiful view in the camp, meeting so much kind and wonderful people, Surfing and teaching the Yoga classes there was a pleasure for me. The surfing was really nice, and steve is an incredible Surf instructor. Carlos the Manager, is also really nice and fun. The camp has super hippie vibes and you feel so connected to the nature. For a full experience of the island i would recommend a car. There are outside showers with a beautiful ocean view. Muchas gracias for this amazing time here. :)
